About the Authors Yochay Kiriaty, Laurence Moroney, Sasha Goldshtein, and Alon Fliess:

Yochay Kiriaty is a technical evangelist at Microsoft, focusing on Windows. He has more than a decade of experience in software development and management and has written and taught academic computer science courses. He is also the main contributor to the official Windows 7 Developers blog and has written several articles in various media.

Sasha Goldshtein is a Microsoft Visual C# MVP, senior consultant and instructor for Sela Group, and leader of the Performance and Debugging team in the Sela Technology Center. He consults on various topics - including production debugging, application and system troubleshooting, performance optimizations, distributed architecture and others - and likes to speak about these subjects at various Microsoft conferences. Sasha´s experience revolves around managed and native application development in C#, C++, and C++/CLI; designing interoperability solutions; architecting multitier high-performance and high-scalability systems; and finding the solutions to "impossible" problems in the field. Sasha has authored multiple Sela training courses, including courses for Windows Internals, .NET Performance and Debugging, and Windows 7.

Laurence Moroney is a senior product manager at Microsoft, focusing on the Microsoft Web Platform, Silverlight, and the user experience. He has more than a decade of experience in software development, architecture, and implementation and has written more books than he can count on subjects as diverse as Silverlight, ASP.NET, security, and Java interoperability.

Alon Fliess is a Microsoft Visual C++ MVP, and the CTO of Sela Group. He works as a technological leader for various projects and is an expert in Microsoft technologies. Alon speaks at conferences about Windows development, the internals of Windows, C++, and software architecture. He also has co-authored Sela training courses on these subjects. He led the team that developed the Windows 7 training materials for Microsoft DP&E and participated in the writing of the Windows 7 Training Kit and application-compatibility materials for Windows 7. Alon has a Computer Engineering B.Sc. degree from Technion, the Israeli Institute for Technology.
